- Tons of Sony news. The PS3 is arriving in November. It will have a non-optional hard drive, unlike the 360. The PSP is getting an EyeToy camera, a video and voice chat service, a GPS receiver, and the ability to download PSone games, and its price is falling to $199.99.
- THQ creates its own outsourcing provider; hopes to streamline the development process.
- Take-Two has committed $25M in financial incentives (over three years) to the creative team behind GTA. Talk about negotiating leverage…
- I’m sure that some of you have used Ambien to induce sleep on long flights, to combat jetlag, etc. (I have). The NYTimes published a really funny (and disturbing) article on this. A quote (because no paraphrase would do justice): The sleeping pill Ambien seems to unlock a primitive desire to eat in some patients, according to emerging medical case studies that describe how the drug’s users sometimes sleepwalk into their kitchens, claw through their refrigerators like animals and consume calories ranging into the thousands.
