GDC: Final Observations

Overall, a great conference, as always. I enjoyed most of the design-centric panels and lectures that I attended. The business-centric sessions were a little too “MBA 101-ish” for my taste (though I’m sure many attendees appreciated them). If any of you business-minded people would be interested in working together to organize a few more “hardcore” sessions for next year, let me know. I’d love to help make something happen.

Oh, and holy cow, there are a lot of students floating around GDC nowadays! Here’s hoping that academia and industry manage to channel all that energy in productive and fulfilling ways…

I agree, and would love to collaborate on some such sessions.

You can see a presentation I did at last year’s GDC (granted, more mgmt than biz, but thought I’d link anyway) here:

  2. Great! I look forward to chatting more about this in the near future. I’ve heard from a few people offline and think we could pull off something really interesting.
